Yazgı Genç

PhD Candidate, University of Utah

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Economics at the University of Utah. I also serve as a Research Fellow at the Economic Evaluation Unit.

I received my MA in Economics from Boğaziçi University in Istanbul, Turkey. My research interests span the fields of labor economics, public policy, and feminist economics.  My current research focuses on childcare markets in the U.S., specifically race, class, and gender analysis of childcare policies.

Outside of work, I often explore the breathtaking mountains of Utah on hikes, joyfully prepare my dear mom's recipes in the kitchen, or watch terrible reality TV shows
