I am an assistant professor in the Department of Economics at Ithaca College.
My research and teaching interests include labor economics, public policy, and feminist economics. My current research focuses on childcare markets in the U.S., specifically race, class, and gender analysis of childcare policies. Before joining the faculty at Ithaca College, I graduated from the University of Utah in 2024 with a PhD in Economics and from Bogazici University with an MA in Economics in Istanbul. I was born and raised in Turkey, which holds a special place in my heart.
Outside of work, I often explore the nature of the Northeast or watch terrible reality TV shows.
